The votes have now been counted, and the winners are listed on each category page. We would like to thank all the authors, artists, nominators and voters for supporting the Wirerims. We are delighted to have gathered such a diverse archive of the best Skinner fanfiction and pictures on the net, which we will keep open as a resource to the fanfic community.

Please note that voting in some categories was *extremely close*. There were some cases where the difference between 1st and 6th place was a mere 4 or 5 votes. We did originally consider holding tie breaks in the categories that were drawn, but decided that as the aim of the Wirerims was to celebrate and promote Skinnercentric fiction and pictures, having two winners or tied placings was no bad thing.

A great many wonderful Skinner authors are celebrated; there are 34 different authors represented in the top three placings for stories, 12 in the first-placed stories, plus 10 different artists in the top three for the pic categories - 5 over the first places, including tied entries. It's fantastic to see how many authors and artists out there are dedicated to celebrating the qualities of the SPG, in words and pictures.

Thanks again to everyone who took part. All the nominees are entitled to place the nominee icon on their stories. Winners can give pride of place to the winner's icon, shown on each page. Remember that these awards were just for fun, and not to be taken too seriously. We've very much enjoyed creating the site as homage to our favorite Assistant Director and all round Big Guy, but in answer to the question we keep being asked - no, we aren't running them again! If someone else wants to do them next year, that's fine, but we feel we've done our bit this time around! We really appreciate the many folks who took the time to email us and say how much they've enjoyed the awards - and especially reading all the great fiction on the site. That's made all the hard work worthwhile - The Wirerims Committee.
